Baseball University Testimonials

Greg Clifton - Head Baseball Coach, NC Wesleyan University

“Ryan has been extremely valuable helping us with  recruiting! He is spot on with his evaluations, and its good to know  someone who has kids' and programs' best interest at heart. He is  dependable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Any student athlete would  benefit greatly from working with Ryan.

Baseball University has been extremely good to us and it is much appreciated.”

Daniel Huff - Head Baseball Coach, Rockingham CC

" Ryan has been an outstanding resource for us at Rockingham CC. He  does a very good job of promoting high school players in WNC and giving  an honest evaluation. Ryan is able to get to know his players as well as  evaluating them before giving us a call. We have been able to add a  couple immediate impact guys to our program because of his evaluations.  As a college program Ryan is a go to when we are looking for players as  we know what we are going to get it when we call him. I have been lucky  to work with Baseball University of the Blue Ridge and will continue to  reach out to him as the area is loaded with talent! If a player is  looking for information on the recruiting process or wants to get their  name out to colleges Ryan should be the first call. "

Charlie Harrison, Former Head Coach, North Buncombe High School

" Coach Koch is a great avenue for any baseball player looking to get to  the next level. He is very knowledgeable and respects the game. His  assessments and connections help high school players at the college  level. WNC is fortunate to have the resources Coach Koch and Baseball  University provides.  ”

Tripp Triplett (RS Central 22), LHP - Cleveland CC Commit

"Coach Koch was extremely  helpful during my recruiting process! His knowledge and connections  ultimately led me in the right direction for a brighter future! "

Sam Benson, Father of Jett Benson (Tuscola 23) - Cleveland CC Commit

" Coach  Ryan Koch is an inspiration for the kids here in WNC. He is a hard  worker and a grinder when it comes to getting these kids a fair shake in  the recruiting process. Coach Koch was the single most important reason  that my son is playing at the next level. Without Ryan's help, the  number of kids playing at the next level from WNC would dwindle  significantly. We are very fortunate to have someone like him and  Baseball University to promote our kids. I personally cannot thank you  enough for getting Jett where he is today."

Kyle Morrison – Assistant Coach, Bob Jones University

"Coach  Koch is an extremely hard-working individual who is persistent at  working to help his players get to the next level. The videos he  produces for each player are better than most top tier recruiting  services. He gives accurate and fair assessments of his players which  has earned the trust of our program here at Bob Jones University. I know  when Ryan sends me a name of a player to evaluate, he fits within the  skill level we are looking for. If you are a player who is struggling in  the recruitment process, I highly encourage you to get with Coach Koch as he will be diligent at finding you a home."

Michael Fitchen - Assistant Baseball Coach Mars Hill University

" Ryan does a tremendous job of promoting high  school baseball players in the WNC area. He gives us a very honest  assessment of each athlete, and makes it very easy to identify prospects  who are local to us. If an athlete works with Ryan it is a guarantee  Mars Hill Baseball will know about them in detail if Ryan feels they  have a chance to play at our level. Our 2023 recruiting class had two  players who worked with Ryan in the past, and they have adjusted to our  program extremely well. In 2024 our recruiting class currently has four  athletes who have worked with Ryan and we expect them to do the same. We  look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and Baseball University of  the Blue Ridge."

Jordan Dixon (East Rutherford HS 2024), Wingate University Commit

" Where do I  begin when talking about Coach Koch and Baseball University. I was a  Sophomore in High School when my family got in touch and started working  with him. I had a couple of schools interested in me but nothing set in  stone. Although developing my skills was still necessary, he got my  name out there and posted me on Baseball University social media  platforms. Actively, I still had to make sure I was progressing my game;  as well as hitting the weight room,to make myself easier to sell. As me  and Coach Koch progressed through our journey, he got me in contact  with some different schools at all levels to see what I liked and what I  didn't, in order to find the right fit for me. I found that the  Division Two route was the way I wanted to go. Furthermore, I had a good  junior high school year and summer year and Coach Koch put me in touch  with some D2 schools. Finally, I found my home at Wingate University.  Coach Koch opened my eyes to the world of recruiting, and how to work  around the new strategies of putting yourself out there, and for that I  thank him.  "

Brady Nix (East Henderson 2024), USC Union Commit

“Coach Koch excels at what  he does from top to bottom. Starting with experience at the college and  high school level which both of those lead to the connections he has.  The amount of connections Coach Koch has are tremendous. Not only does  he prioritize finding a baseball program suited for the player but also  the right education. His communication was outstanding, never failing to  get back to me quickly if I had any questions. Choosing to have Coach  Koch mentor me through this time was by far the best thing I could’ve  done for myself as far as finding the right fit. I would highly  recommend working with Coach Koch if you are looking to play baseball at  the next level. ”

Tim Barrett, Father of Jack Barrett (ACA 2024), Geneva College Commit

"Thank you so much Coach Ryan Koch at Baseball University. My experience  working with Ryan, as a parent of a baseball player looking to play in  college, was top notch. From Coach Ryan's commitment to high level  communication with myself and my son, to the knowledge he has of college  programs and the connections he has with coaches and personnel,  the  experience was nothing but professional.  Ryan was honest in all aspects  of the process, which I really appreciated,  and was also a positive  force in my sons recruiting process.

The outcome? With Ryan's help and my son's determination,  Jack was able to earn a spot pitching at the college level.”

Julian Lewis (North Henderson 2024), Mars Hill Commit

"Coach Koch  and me have known each other for quite awhile now, he was my middle  school coach and his main focus was to get us ready for the reality of  High school ball and helped me understand where I need to be physically  and mentally during that time if I want to play in college. When I got  to High school Coach Koch ended up coaching our highschool team rather  then staying at the middle school. He was an amazing help being super  committed to making us better by recording our practices and games,  creating player evaluation sheets for us each season reflecting on our  strengths and weaknesses and what kind of player we are as well as  having such strong knowledge of the game itself. Which helped us become  better players and not only become mentally stronger of the game, but  learn about basic and certain mechanics, how our bodies move and just  overall how to take care of our arms. After he was done coaching at  North Henderson we still stayed in touch and his connections and  knowledge of what kind of player I am and the person I am helped him  decide what schools and coaches I should reach out to. He would help get  my name out to coaches by posting me on Baseball University social  media as well as mentioning my name to coaches he talked to. Eventually  after many calls and a lot of hard work during the off seasons, Coach  Koch has helped me achieve one of my childhood dreams of playing  collegiate baseball and helping me find a home at Mars Hill University. I  couldn’t thank Coach Koch enough for what he has done for me and he has  truly gave me a realistic view on college recruitment.  ”

Casey Smith, Father of Asher Smith (Crest 2024), Wake Tech CC Commit

" Coach Ryan Koch should be on speed-dial for prospective college baseball players, high school, college, and even professional coaches/scouts!

In our experience working with him, it was a relief to skip over all the fluff and get right to the heart of how recruiting works and how best to align the goals of our son, Asher, with the potential schools he was interested in. He offered honest advice, emphasized the right academic fit, and stressed focusing on opportunities where the greatest and earliest impact could be made where it matters most...on the field. Coach Koch exemplified a sincere desire to see both our son and the coaches he introduced him to benefit mutually, which is a high character trait that sets Baseball University apart from everyone else. Our son had offers from D1, 2, 3 & JUCOs.  But...in college baseball, while there may be many places you could be, there's only one place where you should be, and that's where having the right guidance is invaluable! With that, Coach Koch's unique perspective and proven expertise on the JUCO route, in our son's case, helped to solidify the perfect fit and foundational opportunity to begin his next journey with Wake Tech. For that, we're very grateful and proud to endorse Coach Koch and his Baseball University of the Blue Ridge! ”

Wesley King, Head Baseball Coach, Christ School

" Ryan is one of the most infectious and authentic people  you will ever meet. He loves baseball, and more importantly, he loves  helping  players reach their dreams no matter the level. Ryan is the person who you want in the foxhole with your son in baseball recruiting. He  is a grinder, a worker, and a baseball lifer.  In this day and age, we  need people like Ryan helping our baseball players and young people. Ryan will shoot you straight and  will always be honest with you and your son.  Ryan, keep doing your thing.  I am honored to be your friend and brother in baseball.”

Bailey Ayers, Assistant Baseball Coach, Savannah State University

" In the time that I have known Ryan, I have nothing but great things  to say about him & Baseball University. He has been exceptional in  understanding our recruiting process. Anytime I work with Ryan I am  provided with accurate information, honest evaluations & left with  no stone unturned. He does a tremendous job of researching institutions  to provide his players with as much information as possible. If you are a  high school baseball player in the WNC region with aspirations to play  at the collegiate level, I highly recommend Ryan Koch & Baseball  University to help you achieve those goals. ”

Robert Dudley, Assistant Coach CVCC

" There are few guys in the baseball world that are really  in it for the right reasons and Coach Koch is one of those few. His  knowledge and experience create a valuable resource for players, parents  and coaches.

He's  always willing to jump on the phone and talk about guys that are with  Baseball University and find the best fit for each player and each  program.

I am very grateful for him and the work he is doing. He's truly making a difference! ”

Andrew Cortor (Chase 2024), Concord University Commit

" Coach Koch was very helpful in my recruiting process. I first met Coach  Koch during my Sophomore year, to create my first recruiting video.  After that, he shared many useful tips about the recruiting landscape.  Many of these tips were extremely helpful, as much of the information he  shared with me was in reference to how COVID-19 and the "Transfer  Portal" had dramatically changed the high school recruiting process for  so many high school student/athletes like myself.

Fast forward to  the summer between my Junior and Senior year, Coach Koch had me back out  to update my recruiting video and profile page. This video showed the  growth and improvement in my skills over the past two years. As my  Senior year started and our high school baseball team took the field for  the fall season, Coach Koch often showed up to get in-game action  videos to help promote me, along with many other WNC baseball players.  He surely was able to create a buzz and several colleges started  contacting me. This gave me many options, but more importantly his  guidance was key in me being able to find a college in which I felt  belonging and trust in the coaching staff.

Coach Koch works  endlessly to promote WNC High School Baseball Players, while being very  affordable. His prices are a fraction of other recruiting services. ”

Drew Yelton (RS Central 2025), College of Charleston Commit

" I personally want to say  thank you to Coach Koch for every opportunity he has put in front of me.  He started helping me the fall before my freshman year, he told me from  the start that he would be there for me no matter what and would help  me in every situation I needed help in. He put me in front of A LOT of  college coaches and made sure I was where I needed to be. The videos he  creates for everyone is well worth every dime. We have found Coach Koch to be a  very reliable and knowledgeable person, you can count on him to help  you through your recruitment process. Coach Koch helped me find my home  at College of Charleston and can help you find your home at the right college.  Thank you again Coach Koch for everything you do for me!”

Solomon Eudy (West Stanly 2024), Greensboro College Commit

" I started working with Coach Koch right before my junior year of high school. After filming and providing a realistic evaluation on where I was physically and metrically, we discussed the areas I needed to improve on in order to play at the next level. Coach Koch then guided me in the process of reaching out to coaches and getting in front of them. He helped me build and maintain relationships with multiple schools I was interested in. Coach Koch was also very helpful in getting my name out there to numerous coaches. When attending camps and college visits, coaches knew in advance that I was interested in their program. With his help and guidance, I found the right fit at Greensboro College. Thank you to Coach Koch and Baseball University for making this process so much easier for me and my family. ”

Eddie Hoornstra, Father of Chip Hoornstra (ACA 2024), Palm Beach Atlantic Commit

" As the father of a young high school baseball player who had just  decided he wanted to play at the collegiate level, what was I to do? He  had very engaged coaches and good grades, but we were not sure where or  how to start this process. We tried a national recruiting service, but  that seemed like something less than an individualized approach. Upon  meeting Coach Koch, we soon had some good game film and metrics to  assess my son's potential. We next went to a few official filming  sessions where Coach Koch helped to project where Chip might be able to  play collegiately. Coach Koch made connections with coaches and gave us  personalized attention along the way. His no nonsense demeanor and  honesty through the process is what separates him from many in the  recruiting business. We would highly recommend him to any player from  WNC looking to play at the next level. ”

Beau Willis - Pitching Coach - Former Rockingham CC, current Southeastern CC (IA)

"Ryan has been a great asset to our program and our recruiting efforts.  Baseball U is one of our main sources when looking for impact talent at  the college level, and Ryan's honesty about his athletes, alongside his  astute observations of their character, talent, and commitment, have  been very helpful in building complete rosters. If you are an athlete  looking to be recruited to play college baseball, you want to align with  someone who is garnering respect within the ranks of the sport, and  Ryan and his brand certainly do that. ”

Jacob Wilde (Christ School 2024), Brevard College Commit

" I started my journey to play college baseball when I  was 5 and hitting off a tee. Throughout my life it was only my dream. A  dream where I had to prove everyone wrong. Coach Koch and Baseball  University completely changed my journey. He offered help, guidance, and  knowledge, but most importantly he provided a person [to believe in me]. Coach Koch gave  me everything from film, metrics, and publicity. [And although Brevard discovered me through a local showcase], the reason I am here (and I can say this with 100% confidence) is  in no small part due to him. In a world where I felt I had to prove  everyone wrong, he became the only person that I could try and prove  right. His guidance and genuine care is what helped defined me, making  me forever thankful for Coach Koch and Baseball University. "

Manny Cervantes - Head Coach, Asbury University

"I've appreciated getting to know Coach Koch over the last few years. In the last couple of seasons he has helped us identify and recruit a few prospects we would have not otherwise met from the Western North Carolina area. We've found his assessment reliable and trustworthy on his players, and someone I've grown to trust as an evaluator. Most importantly, he is someone that truly cares about the players he's helping to find the right college opportunity. We look forward to working with Coach Koch to continue recruiting prospects from the Western North Carolina area in the years to come."

Malachi Hayes (Franklin High School 2024)- North Carolina Wesleyan Commit

"We want to say a big “Thanks” to Coach Koch for all the communications and help he gave over the past couple of years. He contacted us many times and did a lot of great video for promotion and helped to contact college coaches. Baseball University is doing a great job for players in western NC. Thanks Coach Koch."

Stephen Apel, Father of Abram Apel (Franklin 2024) - Surry CC Commit

"My son Abram was a late bloomer with all the tools when Ryan invited him  to a filming session!  After Abram’s first meeting with Ryan it was  evident that Abram had a little growing to do!! Ryan gave him some good  advice that was hard to hear… Abram responded and grew leaps and bounds  in one year!  Ryan got the word out, called coaches, re-filmed, and  captured him at his best!!!  The summer after his Junior year colleges  started to call!!!  Ryan sent film and called these coaches to tell them  about Abram before campus visits!! It was nice to talk to coaches who  knew everything about him already!  Abram was down to two colleges who  were serious about bringing him into their program… Coach Ryan gave  great advice to help Abram make the best decision for himself!!!  He is  officially committed and so very excited about his next step!  Thank you  to Coach Ryan Koch; you played an intricate role in Abram’s advance to  the next level!"

Daniel Rollins – Head Coach, Paul D Camp CC

“Ryan has a passion to help players. It is never about him. It is always about the player and the family he is working with. You see so many recruiting services that help players because they want it to make them look good. With Ryan and Baseball University you can throw that out the window. You’re going to get the best information and advice throughout the recruiting process that will benefit the player. Enough can’t be said for working with a person, like Ryan, that is going to put the interest of your son first and foremost. I can’t recommend him and his services enough.”

Michael Impellittiere – Head Coach, Waynesburg University

"Coach Koch does a great job with providing information for college coaches on evaluating student-athletes in the NC region. He explains and evaluates the players he works with to help college coaches identify talent for their programs. Coach has always been very helpful in the recruiting process for our program. He wants what is best for the student-athlete. "

David Walsh – Former Assistant Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator, Framingham State University, CMCC,

"Being a Coach in the North it is very hard to see guys play from the South.  With Baseball University and Coach Koch it has allowed my program to offer opportunities to players from the south.  We currently have a player from Baseball University and he is thriving.  Coach Koch has built a relationship with my program and that opens up more opportunities for players academically as well as athletically.  Coach Koch will present every avenue to your player to play college"

Bo Trantham (Asheville HS 2022), UVA Wise

"Baseball University and Coach Koch really propelled my recruiting process. I really enjoyed Coach Koch's guidance, compassion, and having the ability to reach out to several schools for me. Ultimately just having another person in your corner is what Baseball University was all about for me. He was always someone I could fall back on for guidance in addition to my other coaches. Baseball University played a role in my final decision to commit to the University of Virginia at Wise."

Rodney Lopez – Assistant Coach, Youngstown State

“Coach Koch's heart is in the right place.  He is working to help families figure out the pitfalls and traps of college baseball recruiting, especially with the current landscape.  Working with him would put any student-athlete at an immediate advantage and in a position to create opportunities.”

Mike Kelly – Head Coach, Massachusetts Maritime

"I truly believe that Ryan Koch and Baseball University have the players' best interests at heart."

Brian Frellick, Father of Dane Frellick (AC Reynolds 2021), Framingham State University

“Having my son work with Ryan Koch, and Baseball University, was the best decision we ever made to help get him not only zeroed in on a baseball program, but also the College that best suited him.  Ryan doesn't just film and document your sons measurables, but he also helps you reach out and get into contact with schools that fit your boy’s needs.  He will talk with you and understand the size of school you are interested in, the region of the country you prefer, religious affiliation, or any other factors that may go into to making this very important decision.  He will contact coaches personally, tell them about your son and offer to send the video for them to look at your son.  He will let them know your baseball schedule for high school and summer, and if the schools are allowed to visit, he will get them that info as well.  One other thing that I really appreciated with Ryan, is that he was able to put our expectations into perspective.  As parents of athletes, we all want to believe that our child is D1 material, but the reality is that most of our boys are not, at least not right out of High school.  He helped us understand that JC’s, D2 and D3 schools are still very high level baseball, and that these coaches can also get their players on high level summer programs if warranted, and if your son is good enough he will get recognized regardless of the level.  I was absolutely no different, and my son is thriving right now at a D3 school as a freshman, and will be starting at catcher and batting 4th this coming spring.  His coach has already intimated to him that he can get him on a high level summer program, and if he continues on this trajectory, who knows where this can lead.  Going to JC’s, D2 and D3 schools, also offers your son more opportunity to play immediately, especially with the log jams that are occurring in colleges due to extra eligibility due cancelled seasons due of Covid.  In the end, I would recommend Ryan and Baseball University to any parent of a son that has aspirations of playing baseball in college.”

April Gahagan-Fore, Mother of Gavin Owens (AC Reynolds 2021), Caldwell CCTI Commit & Gage Owens (ACR

“As a career baseball mom, there are so many program veterans who have breathed inspiration into our boys.  Ryan, specifically stands out due to his enthusiasm.  He has exceeded every expectation we could have ever desired when it comes to the effort he puts into his athletes. His attention to the details, shows especially in his videos, and his ability to get visual attention to the players is second to none.  I can’t say enough good about Baseball University.”

Steve Hucke – Assistant Coach, Brevard College

"Baseball University has been a good resource for Western North Carolina High School Baseball Players!  Ryan is giving these athletes a chance to be seen by college coaches all around the country!  We have used Ryan's service to recruit and will continue to use Baseball University as a recruiting tool at Brevard College!" I recommend Baseball University for all Western North Carolina Baseball Players!"

Frank Pecora, Retired Head Coach, Norwich University

“Coach Koch cares about the players.  He is trying to connect them with the best possible fit for the athlete and the program.   His success is judged by the number of players he is able to place in a program to be successful.  Keep up the great work.”

Mike Victory – Head Coach Hood College, Former Head Coach Brevard College

"In a progressively more digital age Baseball University is helping Western North Carolina prospects connect with coaches and colleges they otherwise may have never gotten in front of."

Bobby Brown (Brevard HS 2021), Bucks County CC & MACU

“My graduation class was really caught in a bad situation for recruiting because of existing college players getting an extra year of eligibility due to COVID.  My high school also does not get a lot of attention for recruitment.  So, I had pretty much given up on the possibility of being able to play in college.   Coach Koch helped me more than I thought possible, and made playing baseball in college a reality for me.  Coach Koch is very knowledgeable about many routes and areas for playing, and opened my eyes to opportunities I never even knew existed.  He was completely available to speak to me at any time, for as long as I needed.  He also gave my parents the attention they needed to guide me in my decision about where to play.  He always commented on social media posts about me during my senior year of high school, and continues to do so now that I am playing in college.  This type of exposure is crucial, especially if you decide to go the juco route as I did.”

John Ballard- Father of Reese Ballard (Christ School 2024)- Asbury University Commit

"I am very fortunate to have known Ryan for three years. He has done a  lot of work for many players at Christ School. He may be the most  detailed oriented person I’ve ever met.  These days it takes someone  who’s good with the details to get the attention from colleges for the  players he represents.  My son, unfortunately has had some setbacks with  injuries during his last couple years, which has made it a little more  difficult to get him in front of college coaches with videos and camps.  Ryan went the extra mile to talk to the coaches personally about my son  and even getting the high school coaches involved several times talking  with college coaches. I really think that goes a long ways when college  coaches can hear what they think of their players and how they  contribute to the team. Ryan provided some videos of my son, playing  baseball to schools at my son was interested in. Since he was injured  over the last couple years, Ryan went the extra mile to make sure Reese  got in front of these coaches in person to show his talent. I cannot  tell you how excited my son is that he got an offer and has now  committed to Asbury University. I would recommend Ryan to anybody who is  interested in going to the next level in playing baseball."

Murphy Kanupp, Mother of Parker (AC Reynolds 2020, NC Central University/Cleveland CC), Lenoir Rhyne

"Coach Koch was my son’s baseball coach in 2015 and 2016, and changed the trajectory of his baseball career. My son was a first baseman and Coach Koch realized that was not his dominate position and changed him over to a pitcher. Coach Koch followed my son through high school and the recruiting process, answering any questions we had and teaching him how to communicate with college coaches. Fast forward to 2020. My son committed to a D1 university as a pitcher and we thought that is where he would spend the next 4 years.  My son started college in the fall of 2020 and in 2021 found out that the D1 school was shutting down the baseball program for good. Since he wanted to play ball, his only option was to transfer to another school his sophomore year. We called Coach Koch and he immediately jumped into action. I sent him videos that he edited with his stats, he called college coaches, he helped navigate through the NCAA transfer portal. This was all possible because Coach Koch invested his time in my son. He knew him and was able to honestly talk to colleges about his potential. My son landed at the perfect college because of Coach Koch.  Coach Koch was and is still an integral part of my son’s journey to playing in college and hopefully beyond college. I would highly recommend any baseball player and parent to Baseball University. No matter how old your child is Coach Koch will help him develop as a player. He will help your child until he has reached his goals and potential. Coach Koch has a very impressive resume, he knows the game, he is honest and will let you know if your child is a D1 player or would be a better fit at a JUCO level. He knows a lot of college coaches and they also trust his opinion. Our family is very lucky to have Coach Koch as a mentor for our son "

Harold Shepard, Head Baseball Coach, Pisgah High School

“Ryan is a great resource for the players of WNC to utilize. He is a hard worker and understands the process to get kids to the next level.”

Amy and Steve Rodriguez, Parents of Guhner Palmer (East Henderson 2022), Virginia Peninsula CC

"Coach Koch is very professional, hard working, diligent, & passionate about this job. He has many connections and worked above and beyond to find our son the right fit not only for baseball but also for the right school for our son’s career choice.  Coach Koch’s communication was exceptional, he always answered every call and text. We highly recommend working with Coach Koch"

Patrick McCoy, Father of Gavin McCoy (Smoky Mountain 2022), Brevard College

"My son has dreamed of playing college baseball since he was 8 years old.  Myself as a parent wanted to give him every opportunity to achieve his goal.  I thought that travel ball and high school ball was enough to get him seen by coaches.   One of my sons coaches put us in contact with Coach Koch and Baseball University.  Once my son had his video completed and started working with Coach Koch we learned so much about the process and what to do, what not to do and how to get him seen.  Coach Koch was great with my son and had him focused on the important things in this process.  Shortly after, my son committed to play college baseball and has now officially signed his letter of intent.  Thank you Coach Koch and Baseball University for all of your help in making my son’s dream come true."

Victoria Bohn, Mother of Zach Bohn (AC Reynolds 2021), Caldwell CTC

"A friend of mine who also has a son that is a RHP, suggested that I contact Coach Ryan Koch for recruiting guidance and professional video of my son. Ryan and I spoke on the phone, and he introduced the Baseball University program. He extensively explained his desire to help players in the recruiting process by way of his knowledge, contacts, and experience as a player and coach himself. And that he wanted the process to be affordable for parents. Ryan and my son arranged a time and location to film and only a few days afterward we were viewing the film that Ryan had created, which we were very happy with.

After filming my son and sharing with college coaches, Ryan reached out to those coaches for feedback and interest. He consulted with myself and my son regarding their interest, ultimately putting my son in contact with them. In addition, Ryan offered to counsel my son regarding communication with coaches, both verbal and written, and he created and shared with us a large database of colleges. Ryan was always available with informative answers to our many questions regarding the recruiting process. I would highly recommend parents and players utilizing Ryan’s vast expertise and competence in their search for the right college and baseball program. "

Justin King, Head Coach, North Henderson High School

"Coach Koch and Baseball University are great assets to our mountain baseball community.  They are affordable, honest and will find the right placement dependent on player skill level and future plans."

Cody Kirkpatrick (North Buncombe HS 2021), Bob Jones University

"After a long battle through a sprained UCL and dealing with the Transfer Portal, I'm excited to announce that  I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Bob Jones University/ I want to thank God and my family and mostly Coach Koch at Baseball University and the coaches at Bob Jones University for this amazing opportunity to continue playing the game I love more than anything. Go Bruins!

Skylar Albright (Hendersonville HS 2023), Hood College

"The  time, patience, guidance, and advice provided by Baseball University and  Coach Koch was invaluable.  Taking the time to listen to my wants  and desires on and off the field helped guide me to the perfect fit.  Without him, I would have never even known about the place I’m so  excited to call home for the next 4 years. Thank you!"

Davis Anders (Franklin HS 2023), Mars Hill University

"Coach Koch is a great resource for  athletes in WNC. Our students don't have the same recruiting advantages  of students in other parts of the country, but Coach Koch is working  hard to change that and get exposure for athletes in the mountains. He  makes solid contacts with coaches at various levels. He captured great film  of my strengths and worked hard to market me to coaches in my preferred  geographical area. He made consistent contact with me and my family  throughout the recruiting process. We are thankful to have him on our  team.

Thanks for all you have done, Coach"

Jason Gowan, Father of Jackson Gowan (Chase HS 2021), Cleveland CC, Queens University Commit

"Coach Koch was a pleasure to work with. I felt that his assessment of  Jackson was spot on as he reached out to colleges for Jack. After  Jackson made a commitment, Coach Koch spoke with Mars Hill and gave them a great evaluation of Jackson. Coach Koch works really hard for his  players during recruitment and after as well, staying in contact about their development."

Hayden Jenkins (Ashe County HS 2024), Surry CC

"Looking forward to furthering my education and baseball career!   Thank you Baseball University for all your recruiting assistance! You helped lead me in the right path for the last 2 years."
