Congratulations to Brayden Corn, the 15th Round Selection of the Seattle Mariners in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Brayden has been a WNC fan favorite for years as he is an alumni of North Henderson High School, USC Union, and Western Carolina University. He also starred in the Summer for the Hendersonville Honeycrisps and the Forest City Owls.

We are elated that Brayden is the 1st ever Baseball University Alumni to be selected in the MLB Draft. 

Seattle Mariners are finding themselves a new fanbase out here in WNC!

On November 22nd at Brevard High School, Post 70 Asheville will be holding tryouts for both the Junior and Senior Legion Teams. 

This is open for Freshmen up to Seniors, and even some of the 2025 Grads that are still 19 years old. This Tryout is also an interest meeting as we need to determine the numbers before starting the Junior Legion Program. 

Post 70 has lots of great ideas to help add more Recruiting and Player Development aspects to the Legion Program in order to compete with the Travel and Showcase industry

Congratulations to Coach Decker and the Post 70 Asheville Cardinals on winning the Area IV, NC State, and Southeast Regional Championships. They finished the American Legion World Series at 2-1 but unfortunately, due to a tie breaker, did not advance
